We exist to love God, love people, and be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Vision: To reach the people of Greater Trail for Jesus Christ.
Objective Statements
Transformational Missions:
Local Missions – We believe that in accordance with Jesus last words, to be His witnesses close to home first. We are the missionaries of the Greater Trail area and we have the same responsibilities to reach lost people and disciple them to full commitment to Jesus as do full time missionaries who live and work overseas. It is also the mandate of every Christian to follow Jesus in carrying on His mission. Matthew 28:19, 20; Acts 1:8
Global Missions – God has blessed us with abundance and wealth in Canada and we believe that we like Jesus, must have a heart to see the entire population of earth transformed and fully devoted to Jesus. Knowing that others are going in faith to serve Jesus abroad we will continually raise prayer and financial support, encouraging sacrificial giving for sake of Global Mission.
Real Worship: John 4
As a Church we will seek to worship Jesus in Spirit and in Truth. We recognize that worship is not about us, but first and foremost about the triune God. We believe that worship is not defined by personal preferences, but rather on how we view Jesus and our response to Him. We long for the day when worship is no longer understood as the singing time in the service, but true worship is recognized as everything that brings glory to Jesus our Sr. Pastor, including readings, Scripture, creeds, confession, the teachings, and the singing, both inside and outside the congregational gathering times. Worship is a lifestyle, and includes everything in word or deed that we do for the glory of God.
Authentic Discipleship:
Full devotion to Jesus should be normal in the life of a believer. As a Church we believe that the Christian is a follower of Christ through and through. That their identity is truly one who follows and loves their Rabbi Jesus, and seeks to be with Him and in being with Him be like Him. Our society is prone to compartmentalizing our lives. To be a Christian is to be a Christian all the time, not merely on Sunday, or when we are around other Christians, but to want to know Jesus more, to follow more closely and to care about what Jesus cares about. To have a real relationship with Jesus, by accepting Christ as my personal savior, for the forgiveness of sin and then continuing to follow him daily. We understand that discipleship for everyone, like it was for all the apostles is a process, and as a Church we want to help each other engage in becoming full disciples, teaching people how to pray, have time in the Scriptures, give in faith, engage in smaller groups, and attend services regularly in order that we might all become authentic disciples.
Irresistible Community: Acts 2
Like the early Church we believe that the Church is to be a place of belonging, where like minded people who are on mission with Jesus commit themselves to the teaching of the scriptures, and to the fellowshipping with one another in their local Church. We believe that we are baptized by immersion into this fellowship and enter into a covenant relationship with one another through membership. We long for the day when people find a place where they can know and be known, love and be loved, celebrate and be celebrated, care and be cared for. This is achieved through opening our hearts, and homes in hospitality to friends and strangers, inviting them to know Jesus and join as members in His Church. It is vital that we join a small group and attend regular worship services.Life Giving Ministry: I Corinthians 12-14
Every follower of Jesus is an important part of the Church. Upon conversion you were entrusted with at least one Spiritual Gift to serve, and when that gift is unleashed with love, life is given as the Kingdom is advanced both to the recipient and also to the giver of the gift. In Jesus Kingdom, those who will serve will be deemed the greatest, those who lower themselves will be raised up. Ultimately all work done for the glory of God through the lifting high the name of Jesus will be life giving as men and women are drawn unto Him.
